Overview

You’re a 3rd year pharmacy student looking to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world practice. In this role you will work under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist and complete a comprehensive training roadmap that includes key learning experiences, hands‑on tasks, and exposure to store, district, and regional operations. Your contributions will help ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, elevate patient experience, and support pharmacy team productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off).
  • Assist pharmacists and technicians with prescription fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely service.
  • Provide empathetic patient care through face‑to‑face interactions or telephonic support, offering immunizations and other services when eligible.
  • Communicate with prescribers to clarify orders or facilitate medication changes where state regulations permit.
  • Maintain inventory levels, prepare medication deliveries, perform cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
  • Offer in‑the‑moment coaching, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to fellow pharmacy team members.
  • Support immunization services by completing required licensure, training, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Travel to stores within the market as needed to support staffing and business requirements.
  • Comply with all relevant federal, state, local laws, regulations, and CVs policies to protect patient safety and privacy.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services such as point‑of‑care testing and off‑site clinic staffing, when permitted by law.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled or accepted into an ACPE‑accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • Hold or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure, as required.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete training within the designated timeframe.
  • Show strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and readiness to pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs.
  • Apply communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues, including active listening and clear verbal/written messages.
  • Use mathematical reasoning to calculate prescriptions, determine dosage, and handle quantity calculations.
  • Resolve challenging interactions and make appropriate decisions when presented with multiple options.
  • Maintain physical stamina to lift, scan, and move items up to 20lbs, and perform repetitive finger work.
  • Follow computer-based processes accurately and maintain visual acuity for small‑scale tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
  • Immunization certification, when state regulations allow.
  • Willingness to work across multiple store locations to support business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Physical Demands
  • Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods; lift and move objects as described above.
  • Reach overhead, stretch, and use arms and legs to grasp items.
  • Perform repetitive finger and hand movements for typing and handling medications.
  • Use visual acuity for reading, transcription, and inspecting small parts.
  • Lift up to 20lbs and exert up to 20lbs of force; frequently lift up to 10lbs and exert 10lbs of force.
Pay Range

Typical pay for this part‑time role ranges from $20.00–$23.75 per hour.
