Job Description:

Vitalant is seeking a Sr Manager, (QC/RLTS) dedicated to making a positive difference. You will get to coordinate the testing of biological specimens and review testing results and quality assessment data.

Schedule:

Days - will want to be available after hours via phone as needed.

• Assures quality customer service to all customers.
• Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
• Coaches and develops assigned personnel; identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues.
• Leads with humility and a willingness to listen and consider suggestions from everyone, regardless of position or status.
• Oversees all testing procedures (including quality control testing) to ensure compliance with practices, regulations, and/or any agreements/contracts.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Must satisfy CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing required.
• State licensure as required by regulations.

• Reference Lab Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification required for an accredited IRL, preferred for a reference lab.

• Seven years clinical laboratory experience required.
• To include: a. Three years managerial or supervisory experience.
• b. Previous experience in molecular techniques, immunohematology techniques, automated testing and computerization preferred.
