About the CompanyOur client is a well-established organization seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support day-to-day safety initiatives and help promote a strong culture of safety across the organization.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys working with employees and leadership, identifying areas for improvement, and helping maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Job DescriptionThe Safety Manager will be responsible for supporting safety initiatives, providing guidance to employees and leadership, and helping ensure safety practices and procedures are consistently followed. This individual will play an active role in training, inspections, incident follow-up, documentation, and ongoing safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Support safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Identify potential workplace risks and recommend improvements
- Conduct routine safety inspections and assessments
- Partner with employees and leadership on safety-related initiatives
- Coordinate safety training and employee education
- Assist with incident reviews and follow-up
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and records
- Help ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements
- Provide guidance on safety-related questions and concerns
- Monitor workplace practices and identify opportunities for improvement
- Communicate safety recommendations and updates to leadership
- Support ongoing efforts to strengthen the organization's safety culture
- 3+ years of experience in safety, EHS, or a related field
- Experience in a hands-on safety role
- General knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulations
- Experience with inspections, training, and incident reviews
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Relevant safety certifications preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Additional industry-related training is a plus
- Hands-on role with regular interaction across the organization
