Health and Safety Manager

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a remote Health and Safety Manager overseeing safety performance and compliance across our field service locations. This role develops and implements effective safety programs, training, and risk mitigation strategies to help employees work safely in a variety of complex environments. The Health & Safety Manager partners closely with field leadership, employees, and customers to promote a proactive safety culture, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:
Base Salary $89,000 - $107,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Plus a generous Short Term Incentive bonus. Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

• Lead the Health & Safety strategy for field service operations across multiple customer sites and jurisdictions, developing and evaluating programs that reduce risk, prevent injuries, and promote operational excellence
• Establish, conduct, and maintain field-specific risk assessments and Manage field safety and regulatory compliance, including risk assessments, JSAs, OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local requirements, customer-specific safety standards, required reporting, permits, certifications, and safety documentation
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations
  , conducting root cause analysis, identifying systemic issues, and ensuring timely and effective corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and deliver safety training and field oversight
  , including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, confined space, defensive driving, ergonomics, and emergency response; conduct audits, inspections, and job observations to identify hazards and reinforce safe work practices
• Partner with field leadership, employees, customers, and external stakeholders to drive a proactive safety culture, monitor safety performance and trends, manage Workers’ Compensation claims, maintain personnel safety credentials and records, and implement continuous improvement initiatives

• 5+ years of Health & Safety management experience
  , preferably within field service, construction, manufacturing, or similar operational environments
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  , with experience maintaining compliance across multiple locations
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs
  , including risk assessments, incident investigations, training, audits, and corrective action plans
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, domestic travel to multiple field service locations

• Experience in field service, construction, manufacturing, or other multi-site operational environments
• Professional safety certification, such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent
• Experience managing customer-specific safety requirements and partnering with customer EHS teams across multiple sites or jurisdictions
• Experience with Workers’ Compensation claims management, return-to-work programs, and injury trend analysis
• Familiarity with ISO 45001
