You Are

The ideal EHS Administrator is a detail-oriented, organized professional with experience supporting environmental, health, and safety programs in a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environment. You are proactive, collaborative, and skilled at managing compliance documentation, training programs, and regulatory requirements while helping drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

As an EHS Administrator, you will assist the Director of EHS with the implementation and administration of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and initiatives across Mennel operations. You'll play a key role in supporting regulatory compliance, maintaining documentation, coordinating training, and helping ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting EHS compliance efforts across applicable Mennel locations
  • Evaluating facilities to identify non-compliant programs, procedures, and potential safety exposures
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of EHS initiatives, policies, procedures, and programs
  • Supporting compliance with OSHA, EPA, DHS, NFPA, IFC, and other federal, state, local, and corporate requirements
  • Conducting periodic EHS training and awareness programs for employees
  • Reporting, investigating, and coordinating corrective actions for EHS incidents
  • Coordinating hazardous and universal waste handling and disposal activities
  • Maintaining environmental permits and compliance documentation, including:
    • Risk Management Plans (RMP)
    • Air Permits
    • NPDES Permits
    • Construction Air and Stormwater Permits
    • SPCC Programs
    • Other environmental permits as applicable
  • Serving as a liaison between Mennel and regulatory agencies when needed
  • Assisting in the development and continuous improvement of EHS programs and policies
  • Supporting audit readiness and maintaining an everyday audit-ready environment
  • Assisting the Director of EHS with special projects and departmental initiatives
  • Performing other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline required
  • 3–5 years of experience in EHS, environmental management, safety management, or a related field
  • Experience supporting multiple EHS programs, including:
    • Risk Management Programs (RMP)
    • Process Safety Management (PSM)
    • Air, Water, and Waste Compliance
    • Industrial Hygiene Programs
  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, GMPs, industrial hygiene, chemical handling, electrical safety, maintenance processes, and fire prevention
  • Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
