We are looking for a Supply Quality Technician who will contribute to the success of the Quality Control Team, applying their expertise in performing inspections and eye for detail to support the achievement of team and company goals and deliver innovative, reliable solutions. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and maintain a commitment to professional excellence, quality and continuous improvement.

A Supply Quality Technician is responsible for reviewing incoming products and materials, first article parts, and nonconforming parts identified during production to make sure they meet company requirements. This job involves performing inspections, keeping a record of defects, analysing products, and providing input to Quality, Production, and Engineering and feedback on processes and procedures. To be successful in this role, the Supply Quality Technician should possess a trained eye for detail and be a reliable and committed individual.

In-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards are essential.

• Read part drawings, specifications, and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the parts and materials
• Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
• Perform incoming inspections on parts received from vendors
• Provide feedback to management on the quality of the materials received in inspection
• Set and use a variety of precision instruments
• Work from inspection checklists and work instructions used on the production floor
• Keep detailed required inspection records
• Develop, program, and optimise CMM inspection routines
• Lead first article inspections (FAI) and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001
• Set up parts and fixtures for accurate CMM measurement
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to verify part conformance
• Review and validate inspection results and reports
• Identify and document non-conformance and notify appropriate personnel of potential rejection of items
• Support basic troubleshooting of CMM programs and probing issues
• Lead Measurement System Analysis and Gage R&R activities
• Follow established quality procedures and inspection plans
• Troubleshoot measurement issues, program errors, and variation sources
• Analyse inspection data and support root cause and corrective action activities
• Collaborate with engineering on design-for-measurement and tolerance analysis
