Alltech, Inc. provides innovative nutritional solutions for the feed and food industries. The company supplies ingredients to the food and beverage industries. It has operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Alltech was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Nicholasville, Kentucky. We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Lab Technician at our Springfield, KY facility.

Responsibilities

To ensure that proper procedures are followed at all times.
To perform all necessary and specified laboratory assays in accordance with procedures and specifications as needed.
Adhere to and follow GMP and GLP guidelines.
Record and properly document all testing and calibrations performed in the appropriate notebook, sheet, and/or computer program.
Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner at all times.
Maintain stock levels of laboratory supplies and testing materials.
Additional duties and functions may be assigned by manager, when deemed necessary.
To train new employees in the Alltech Quality System.
Adhere to and follow GMP and GLP guidelines.
To aid in producing and maintaining training records.
To perform all necessary and specified audits in accordance with ISO, GMP, RUPP, FSMA, HACCP, and AQS regulations.
Review records as needed to ensure necessary data is being captured and that this data is an accurate reflection of procedure.

Qualifications

Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field required.
Be able to multi task.
Work independently.
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to be flexible and analytical.
