The Test Technician works with cross-functional engineers to performs standard testing processes on a variety of product & equipment, records and summarizes results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Assume responsibility for inspecting, evaluating and documenting the performance, reliability & durability of parts / products to assure conformance.
- Perform product testing during the development & manufacturing processes that includes engineering evaluations, R&D, and environmental qualifications. Tests may include humidity, temperature exposures, thermal & mechanical shock, vibration, immersion, electrical testing.
- Perform tests on components before assembly and during development or on finished goods; assuring all tests are conducted in accordance with test instructions and documented procedures.
- Operate environmental chambers and maintain/manage troubleshooting of some test lab equipment.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inspection and test results, either manually and/or electronically.
- Work with cross-functional team to maintain and monitor component performance & processes being utilized, provide input regarding needs for testing processes and equipment operation.
- Provide technical support to operations assuring consistent application of quality fundamentals.
- May assist in the development of requirements for test equipment and test fixtures.
- May assist with calibration and verification of lab test equipment.
- Is consistently at work and on time; assures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings on time.
