Are you passionate about quality and innovation? Supermicro is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our quality initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will analyze and track quality metrics, oversee product life cycle management, and ensure the highest standards of quality across our supply chain and manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in influencing corporate quality strategies, collaborating with global teams, and championing excellence in product reliability and performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the quality performance of global supply chain and contract manufacturers, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
- Support proactive engagement with contract manufacturers in Asia and harmonize regional quality metrics (Asia and Mexico)
- Accelerate PCBA DFX (Design for Excellence) engagement with RD & PM, collaboration with system level DFA team
- Conduct regular QPA audits and assessments of CM processes, identifying quality gaps and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive Sustainability in Quality Processes for PCBA Manufacturing.
- Develop and enhance AI/ML-based in-line defect classification systems for PCBA.
- Enhance Cybersecurity Compliance in AI Server Quality Assurance.
- Lead Cross-Functional Training Programs for Quality Excellence.
- Implement Predictive Quality Analytics for AI Server Production.
- Collaborate with factories and QA engineers to resolve complex PCBA quality issues, including defects and non-conformances.
- Provide technical expertise to address production line issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Optimize processes and improve yield rates with CM production teams.
- Analyze customer feedback to identify trends and implement proactive measures.
- Participate in critical meetings with CMs, factories, and internal teams to align on quality goals.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols, SOPs, and documentation for PCBA processes.
- Drive initiatives to streamline quality management and enhance operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, ISO standards) and customer requirements.
- BS in EE / IE preferred. Advanced master’s degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in PCBA and high-performance server system integration, preferably with experience at NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, Foxconn, or Quanta.
- Deep understanding of AI hardware assembly and root cause analysis on GPU/CPU-based systems.
- Experience leading AI/ML projects for quality applications is a strong plus.
- Strong background in PCBA manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and quality management tools (e.g., IPC standards, Six Sigma, and FMEA/PFMEA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data, identify issues, and implement data-driven improvements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to manage priorities and facilitate cross-functional meetings.
