Position Summary:
The Inspector will inspect fabric for defects, complete inspection log sheet and enter production into computer as needed. This position will also keep and record accurate waste data.
- Identify and mark defects in fabric.
- Inform Supervisor/Mechanic of any defects that need to be fixed.
- Complete Inspector Log Sheet for each machine inspected.
- Enter production in computer as needed.
- Record waste on waste sheet as needed.
- Inspect sample rolls as required and enter data into computer.
- Must be able to perform a minimum of 144 machine inspections in a 12 hour shift.
- Follow all safety procedures/policies and advise management of any unsafe conditions.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate must possess excellent vision with focus on detail.
- Must have simple math skills.
- Related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team player.
