The Quality Assurance Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing inspections, verifying product conformance to engineering requirements, investigating quality issues, and ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements, proficiency with precision measuring equipment, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse workforce, including production, engineering, and management teams, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to support departmental priorities, and business needs to help achieve quality, operational, and company objectives.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
- Utilize measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and CMM.
- Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection and quality records.
- Support containment, MRB, and nonconforming material processes.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and promote a safe working environment.
- Report safety concerns, hazards, and near misses promptly.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to support departmental priorities and business needs as directed by the Quality Engineering and Management teams.
- Adapt to changing priorities, workloads, and assignments to support production requirements, customer expectations, continuous improvement initiatives, and company objectives.
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact with production personnel, engineering, management, and other departments.
- Ability to clearly document inspection results, nonconformances, and quality records
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
- 2+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience.
- Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in GD&T interpretation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with EHS requirements.
