As a Receiving Inspector, you will help maintain the highest standards of compliance and product quality while contributing to our mission of improving outcomes for patients around the world.## What will you be doing?
* Perform receiving inspection activities for incoming materials, components, and subassemblies
* Inspect materials against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements using appropriate measurement tools
* Approve or reject incoming materials and ensure correct identification, segregation, and status control
* Support the timely release of materials to production while maintaining compliance with quality procedures
* Identify and document nonconforming materials in accordance with company procedures
* Maintain complete, accurate, and audit ready inspection records and documentation
* Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant inspection area
* Support other operational activities as required## ## What will you need to be successful?
* High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in a related field preferred
* 2+ years of quality or receiving inspection experience within a medical device or other regulated industry
* Understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 requirements
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Experience with sampling plans, inspection methodologies, and measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, and vision systems
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods while performing inspection activities

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $44,250 - 66,500 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew.
