Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our residential community. In this dynamic role, you'll partner with the Property Manager to ensure operational excellence, deliver outstanding resident service, and contribute to the property's financial success.

What You’ll Do Property Management & Administrative Operations
  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily community operations and supporting on-site staff.
  • Accurately process and post rental income, fees, and other revenues using company-approved accounting systems.
  • Review and verify pre-bill functions, including rental charges, recurring concessions, utility charges, and month-to-month lease premiums.
  • Audit prepaid accounts weekly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Record rent collections and ensure all funds are deposited and scanned to the bank within 24 hours.
  • Adhere to company policies, including the no-cash-accepted policy.
  • Manage delinquent accounts by assessing late fees, issuing notices, maintaining detailed records, and coordinating eviction filings with management approval.
  • Prepare and distribute final move-out statements and process former resident accounts for collections.
  • Complete all required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports accurately and on schedule.
Leasing & Resident Relations
  • Generate new leasing opportunities through outreach, networking, direct marketing, and community engagement.
  • Conduct property tours and provide exceptional service to prospective residents.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects to maximize occupancy and leasing success.
  • Prepare leases and complete all required documentation in compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and management teams to ensure apartment homes are market-ready and available for immediate leasing.
  • Understand and apply all applicable Federal and State Fair Housing regulations.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Real Estate License is a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Assistant Property Manager experience required.
  • Previous residential leasing experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with MRI Software preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative duties.
  • Frequent use of office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, and copy machines.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, stretching, and reaching to access files and office equipment.
