Responsibilities
- Manage lease renewal processes for multiple clients and accurately track progress using internal dashboards and systems
- Monitor renewal timelines and ensure required documentation is completed in accordance with New York City regulations
- Communicate daily with tenants to facilitate timely lease execution and resolve routine questions
- Assist subsidy recipients with required information and documentation for voucher and subsidy renewals
- Coordinate with housing assistance case managers and agencies, including NYCHA Section 8, HPD Section 8, and HRA
- Prepare and submit annual rent registrations through the ORRA system
- Assist with reviewing permissible rent increases under applicable New York City regulations
- Respond to client and tenant inquiries regarding leases, renewals, and compliance processes
- Prepare rent-stabilized leases and schedule lease signings using internal and external software platforms
- Coordinate with re-rental and vacancy teams to ensure accurate and timely unit status updates
- Communicate with landlord clients to deliver reports and obtain countersigned leases
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to lease renewals and compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall compliance and property management operations
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in property management, real estate, leasing, housing, compliance, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to learn and apply New York City rent stabilization, rent registration, and housing compliance regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams, clients, tenants, and outside agencies
- Learning agility, resourcefulness, and a results-driven mindset
- Interest in New York real estate, property management, and housing compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Experience with Yardi, ORRA, or other property management/compliance systems is a plus, but not required
