Senior Property Tax Specialist - Global Tax Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for meeting the property tax needs of CBRE's clients assigned including property tax appeals and property tax estimates.

• Acts as the primary client interface for day to day operations
• Communicate with taxing authorities related to appeals. Attend property tax valuations hearings as appropriate.
• Properly communicate with the client regarding appeal recommendations.
• Review properties assigned to evaluate whether the property assessment value should be appealed.
• Prepare and complete property valuation appeals including considering all valuation methods that are appropriate including income, market, cost, equity, and applicable exemptions.
• Responsible for preparation of support to prepare billing.
• Assist the Director in developing new ways in which to more efficiently review and appeal property values.
• Identifies and reports to leadership how individual results can be leveraged to develop additional revenue.
• Develop and bring forth ideas targeted areas for new revenue.
• Maintains proper state property tax agent licensing.
• Mentors Associate level team members as needed to support the clients needs

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
