The Research Analyst in LSEG conducts detailed and comprehensive searches and builds in-depth analysis on assigned research projects. The analyst researches and extracts data from all applicable sources, ensures accuracy and quality of findings by aligning with policies and applicable laws and optimally handle workload within defined deadlines and budgets.
Day to day responsibilities include:- Conduct detailed, comprehensive search and analysis on assigned research projects.
- Research and extract data from all applicable sources, ensures accuracy and quality of findings by aligning with policies and applicable laws.
- Develop appropriate search queries to improve research results.
- Maintain a high level of regional and country expertise by supervising diverse sources for relevant developments.
- Provides regular status updates on research projects to the manager.
- Optimally prioritize and lead tasks to meet established deadlines.
- Partnerships with teams across offices in multiple time zones, in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Must possess keen attention to details and must have a structured and methodical approach to work.
- Must have the ability to follow many guidelines and instructions successfully.
- Must have analytical skills to perform a high-quality in-depth research.
- Must be results oriented and proactive in finding topics, sources, trends, etc.
- Must be participative, willing to collaborate with the team.
- Must be resourceful, willing to look for innovative solutions and tools.
- Must have ability to prioritize optimally in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in fields such as International Relations, Political Science, History, Foreign Languages and Translation, Literature, Journalism, or other Humanities-related fields.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as researcher.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English languages, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience in research and proficiency in basic research tools (e.g. search engines).
- Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulations in LATAM.
- Previous work experience related to Sanctions (OFAC, UN, EU).
- Previous experience working with databases and information.
