* * RESEARCH SPECIALIST I TISSUE CORE- SAMPLE PROCESSING LAB LIQUIDS
** Position Highlights**:
* The selected candidate will contribute to a state-of-the-art Biorepository resource based at the Moffitt Cancer Center and facilitate oncology research at Moffitt.
* Attends in-house courses, seminars, and workshops related to core activities and cancer biology.

** The Ideal Candidate:
*** Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to precisely follow established workflows and SOPs with preferred experience in general laboratory techniques
* Must be able to perform with minimal supervision with guidance from senior staff
* Proficient use of Microsoft applications is necessary
* Good organizational skills
* Attention to detail
** Responsibilities:
*** The Research Specialist I will be responsible for  + Learning and performing routine specimen processing from various biologic specimen types  + Utilizing the Tissue Core’s Laboratory Information Management System for project  intake, specimen labeling, processing and/or handling and tracking  + Documentation and inventory management in inventory system application  + Core specific licensure and/or certifications required  + Annual Human Subjects Training, i.e. CITI
** Credentials and

Qualifications:

*** High School Diploma/GED required, Associate's or bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology or related scientific field preferred.  + A minimum of two years in a science related field with High School Diploma.  + One year of laboratory experience with AA/AS degree.  + No experience required with BS/BA degree.  + Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Moffitt Team Members are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Retirement, Parental Leave and more.

** Salary Range**$21.85 - $32.77
