** Position Information
** The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work closely with Drs. Katie Lewis and Joseph Burke, along with other faculty at Texas A&M Agri Life Research and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, on a state-funded project to determine the impact of manure and biosolid applications on soil health outcomes in Texas.
** Responsibilities:
*** Leads a state-wide effort to better understand how per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances impact soil health and agricultural systems.
* Leads field experiments, collects data on soil, water, plants, and climate, analyzes the data, interprets the results, and presents findings at local, regional, and national meetings.
* Prepares manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
* These duties require physical activities, including extensive fieldwork, travel, heavy lifting, and working in extreme environments.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Required Qualifications:

*** Ph.D. in soil science, microbiology, environmental toxicology, or related fields, with a focus on soil health.
* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Excellent English oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
* Knowledge of advanced statistical models/tools.
* Experience with large, various datasets.
* Experience working with PFAS.
