Clinical Research Coordinator I/II – Cardiovascular Research

$35 - $42 per hour

THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) I or II to provide full-time support for a hospital-based cardiovascular research study in Milwaukee, WI. This hybrid position involves both remote and onsite work, with onsite presence required approximately 2-3 days per week at depending on study visit schedules. The CRC will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day study activities, with a strong emphasis on patient recruitment, enrollment, and study visit management.
The contract is expected to last approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on study enrollment. No RN or other specific clinical license is required for this role.
- Coordinate and execute day-to-day activities of an active clinical research study in cardiovascular research.
- Identify, screen, and recruit potential study participants in accordance with study protocol and eligibility criteria.
- Coordinate participant enrollment and study-related activities, including scheduling and supporting participant study visits at the clinical research site.
- Maintain regular communication with study participants and the broader research team.
- Ensure all study activities are completed in accordance with the protocol, institutional requirements, and applicable clinical research regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely study documentation and participant records.
- Assist with data collection, data entry, and resolution of study-related documentation as needed.
- Track recruitment and enrollment progress, providing updates to the study team.
- Coordinate with investigators, clinical staff, research personnel, and other stakeholders to support successful study execution.
- Perform remote recruitment and administrative activities when onsite presence is not required.
- Maintain participant confidentiality and adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and research compliance requirements.
- Previous experience supporting clinical research studies in a Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Coordinator, or similar capacity.
- Working knowledge of clinical research processes, including participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, study visits, and research documentation.
- Ability to independently manage study-related responsibilities and competing priorities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable communicating directly with potential and enrolled study participants.
- Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week.
- Ability to work onsite at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center approximately 2-3 days per week, with onsite frequency varying based on scheduled study visits.
- Preferred: Cardiovascular/cardiology clinical research experience.
- Preferred: Previous experience coordinating interventional or hospital-based clinical studies.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), IRB requirements, and clinical research regulatory standards.
- Preferred: Experience working within a large health system, hospital, or academic medical center.
- No RN license or other specific clinical license required.
