Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Developmental Biology and RNA Regulation

A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available in our laboratory to investigate the molecular and post-transcriptional mechanisms that regulate development and cell fate determination.

Our laboratory is particularly interested in understanding how RNA modifications, including N6-methyladenosine (m6A), regulate developmental processes and progenitor cell fate transitions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to investigate fundamental mechanisms of RNA regulation in development using genetically engineered mouse models, single-cell and molecular approaches, and complementary cellular systems.

Research Areas

Potential research directions include:

  • m6A RNA modification and post-transcriptional gene regulation
  • Developmental biology and progenitor cell fate
  • Cardiovascular development and congenital disease
  • Single-cell transcriptomics and lineage analysis
Qualifications

Applicants should have:

A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in developmental biology, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, cardiovascular biology, RNA biology, or a related field

Strong experience in molecular and/or cellular biology

  • Experience with mouse genetics, developmental biology, RNA biology, or single-cell genomics is highly desirable
  • Strong motivation to pursue mechanistic and hypothesis-driven research
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Candidates with expertise in developmental biology who are interested in expanding their research into RNA and epitranscriptomic regulation are particularly encouraged to apply.

Research Environment

Our laboratory studies how post-transcriptional mechanisms regulate cell fate and organ development, with a particular emphasis on m6A RNA modification and cardiovascular development. We combine genetic mouse models, developmental biology, single-cell genomics, molecular biology, and stem-cell-based approaches to uncover mechanisms underlying normal development and congenital disease.

The position provides opportunities to develop independent research directions, publish high-impact work, present at national and international conferences, and obtain training toward an independent research career.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should send:

  • A CV
  • A brief description of previous research experience and future research interests
