Organization Type Postdoctoral PositionA full-time postdoctoral position is available in the Division of Nephrology,Department of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. The laboratory investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying kidneyinjury, repair, inflammation and fibrosis.
The successful candidate will be expected to design and perform experiments,analyze data, and prepare manuscripts for publication under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The candidate will work with animal models relevant tohuman kidney diseases and apply advanced scientific techniques, including flowcytometry, confocal microscopy, single-cell transcriptomic analysis, RNA-seq,and ChIP-PCR assays.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or a related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques is necessary, and experience withsmall animal models is preferred.
