As Translational Project Lead Statistician within Vaccines Global Biostatistics Sciences (GBS), you are the ultimate scientific owner of all statistical translational deliverables for your assigned project(s), bringing your quantitative passion to project translational sub-team which consists of translational strategic expert, biomarker lab scientist, immunology lead and research experts. This role is critical to our team’s success and offers exposure to a broad range of activities within GBS and a broad range functions across R&D.

Main ResponsibilitiesAccountable for statistical aspects on translational strategies of clinical development plans for the assigned project(s).
Responsible for study protocol developments. Develop exploratory statistical analysis plan (SAP). Conduct/oversee analysis. Prepare clinical study report with medical writer and team.
Perform innovative and high-quality statistical support to new assay/platform for new vaccine targets. Oversee statistical elements in translational studies.
Serve as statistical subject matter expert to collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in research, immunology, biomarker labs, clinical development, and global project management in the extended project team.
Apply/develop novel solutions to challenge technical problems. Generate technical reports and publication manuscripts. Representing company to present at external conferences.
Promote quality and productivity through the development, teaching, and proper application of statistical thinking and tools. Utilize AI while ensuring quality.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures according to SOPs.
Basic Qualifications
Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics
3+ years of experience in translational medicine or a related field within industry or academic institutions
Proven track record of scientific publications
Strong statistical methodology and computational skills (proficiency in R is required)
Comprehensive working experiences in applying advanced statistical methods(e.g., Bayesian statistics, linear and non-linear modelling, Machine learning methods).
Capable of conducting original research and simulations independently.
Multi-task and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to influence others across functions in a global environment and to drive organizational change.
