Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 6 (Salaried)

Position Description

The Department of Surgery seeks a Researcher to participate in a grant-funded project aiming to investigate double-negative T cell antitumor immunity and develop T cell-based cancer immunotherapy. This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon continued grant funding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute research experiments.
  • Analyze experimental data and update research notebooks.
  • Reading literature relevant to research and training objectives.
  • Preparation of manuscripts and written reports.
  • Oral presentations at group/local meetings, attendance at seminars.
  • Training students and technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biopharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • One or more years of postdoctoral research experience in a biomedical or tumor immunology laboratory.
  • Previous research experience with mouse tumor models, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and bioinformatics.
Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to independently design, conduct, and troubleshoot experiments.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, highly organized, and capable of maintaining accurate and detailed research records.
  • Ability to conduct research in tumor immunology, cellular and molecular biology, analyze and interpret experimental data, and effectively communicate research findings in both oral presentations and written reports.

Target Compensation Maximum

$81,529.00

Target Compensation Minimum

$54,318.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
