Position Overview

As an ecotoxicology laboratory scientist, you'll apply your scientific expertise to investigate how environmental contaminants affect aquatic organisms and ecosystems. This position is part of EA's ecotoxicology laboratory and offers hands-on opportunities to conduct toxicity testing of sediment and effluent samples, generate high-quality data, and contribute to real-world environmental decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute sediment ecotoxicology testing within the laboratory.
  • Manage projects, including planning, coordinating, and tracking sediment testing activities.
  • Train and support technicians working on sediment ecotoxicology testing.
  • Review and manage laboratory data, including raw data review, data scanning, and statistical analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of technical reports as time permits.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in Ecotoxicology or a related field.
  • Minimum three years experience working in ecotoxicology lab.
  • Previous experience conducting and evaluating aquatic toxicity testing and data is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment,
  • Note:

    This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.
