Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
- Requires a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in area of research specialty.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in cell biology, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, biotechnology, stem cell biology, tissue engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience with mammalian cell culture and advanced cell‑based research models, including organoids, stem cells/iPSCs, tissue engineering, and/or biofabrication.
- Experience with bioprinting or a closely related biofabrication technology.
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and document biological or bioengineering protocols.
- Demonstrated knowledge of upstream and downstream processing for advanced cell‑based models, with working knowledge of flow cytometry and microscopy as complementary characterization methods.
- Experience with human iPSC culture and differentiation, organoid model development, and/or other advanced three‑dimensional cell culture systems.
- Experience with bioprinting, tissue engineering, biomaterials, bioinks, or related biofabrication technologies.
- Experience applying flow cytometry, fluorescence/confocal microscopy, image analysis, or other analytical methods to characterize cells, organoids, or engineered tissues.
- Experience working in a centralized research core, shared‑resource facility, or multidisciplinary research environment, including development and implementation of new research services or standardized workflows.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Working knowledge of mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, cell expansion, cryopreservation, and organoid and stem cell/iPSC model systems, including their differentiation, maintenance, and experimental use.
- Knowledge of tissue engineering and bioprinting/biofabrication workflows, including biomaterials and bioinks, construct handling, post‑fabrication culture, and troubleshooting.
