** Role Overview
** We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to produce the research that defines Robo Strategy’s view of the robotics sector. Research is central to how we invest and how the market understands us: it informs what we own, underpins the diligence conducted by allocators, and establishes our authority in the category. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone whose work speaks for itself.

You will cover the robotics value chain in depth, build and maintain the frameworks behind our positions, and publish the analysis that shapes how investors understand the sector. You will also support the investment team on due diligence where your domain expertise is decisive. There is scope to grow into leading a research team, and to become a prominent external voice for the firm, though the role is defined first by the quality of the research itself.
** What You’ll Do
*** Own your coverage. Cover the robotics value chain in depth: market maps, addressable market and adoption forecasts, technology roadmaps, competitive dynamics, and the underwriting frameworks behind our positions.
* Set the research standard. Establish the methods, sourcing, and review disciplines of an institutional research process.
* Publish Robo Strategy Insights. Produce the firm’s public research: whitepapers, thematic notes, market maps, and data-driven analysis that set the standard for how the sector is understood.
* Engage externally where it fits. Present our research to investors and, where it suits your strengths, to media, podcasts, and industry conferences. An appetite for building a public profile is welcome, though not a requirement of the role.
* Support investment diligence. Contribute technical and market diligence on prospective private and public investments, and bring an independent research perspective to investment discussions.
* Enable our growth. Equip our sales effort with the research allocators require, and participate in investor meetings where research depth is decisive.
* Work within a public-market framework. Partner with compliance and legal so published research meets the standards applicable to a listed fund.
** Core Qualifications
*** 3+ years producing analytical work of professional standard. This may come from research at an asset manager, independent research firm, or sell-side institution, but equally from robotics, supply chain, product, or engineering roles, or from independent writing.
* An exceptional portfolio of published work counts as experience. If your writing demonstrates the calibre of insight we are looking for, we will weigh it accordingly.
* Demonstrable domain expertise in robotics, automation, or adjacent frontier technology, with the technical depth to evaluate hardware, software, and systems credibly.
* A published body of work we can read. We are looking for original insight that matters to investors and technologists alike, and forecasting judgment you are willing to be measured on, rather than a summary of consensus.
* Strong quantitative and modeling capability, including market sizing, adoption curves, unit economics, and long-horizon forecasting.
