POSITION TITLE: Program Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Scripps Research is looking for an experienced program manager to support the program management team with the planning, management, and execution of the CAMPP projects to successfully deliver milestones within timelines and budgets. The position will work closely with scientists and across many laboratories and departments. The association between Cali  and Scripps Research links world-class basic research innovation with patient-centric research initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the PI and the program management team to develop, maintain, and align integrated timelines and resources to meet key milestones and benchmarks for success.
• Attend monthly and quarterly meetings and issuing summary communications/minutes in a timely manner.
• Support project planning and timelines using organizational skills and tools, with flexibility to manage multiple priorities
• Help monitor progress on all research projects and reports back to the program manager
• Work closely with administrative colleagues to coordinate and manage critical contract activities.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to NIAID.
• Build strong relationships across all departments.
• Proactively identify and manage project issues and risks.
• Motivate and sustains team alignment and commitment to project goals, plans, responsibilities, deliverables, and schedule.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Doctoral degree in Biology or related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in project management and/or leadership, managing scientists and engineers to develop technical solutions to scientific problems.
• Demonstrated experience working with a diverse set of colleagues, including scientists, engineers, usability researchers, and engagement managers with a variety of backgrounds.
• Strategic and analytical thinking.
• Strong oral and written communications skills coupled with effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a hybrid position, onsite one day per week.

COMPENSATION: The expected hiring range for this position is $141,00 to $156,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
