Barista

We're looking for a friendly, energetic Barista for the Maple Springs Coffee & Gift Shop, located within The Lodge at Mammoth Cave, inside the National Park. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and help create memorable guest experiences with every cup. • Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking drink orders
• Preparing and serving beverages such as coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Taking payment from customers
• Tracking and ordering inventory for cafe and beverage supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, napkins and cups
• Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning
• Keeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized
• Operate point of sale system
• Restock merchandise and supplies

• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to count change and reconcile paperwork
• Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people

• Experience:
  
  Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment
