Job Title: Play - Supervisor
Job Pay Range: $28.00-$36.00/Hr. inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge* $28.00 - $36.00 per hour based on $12.00 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $16.00-$24.00 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year.
This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.
Job Summary:

This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests. As a member of the Food and Beverage team, this person will supervise shift team members in Play and coordinate all dining room activities to provide courteous and rapid service to all guests.
Oversee operations in Play, The Broadmoor’s full-filled bowling alley and restaurant
- Resolve complaints regarding food or service
- Train and monitor dining room employees for proper service
- Schedule staff, assign stations, and cut staff accordingly when necessary.
- Check reservations for special parties and verify complete instructions for said parties. Block space in Guest Bridge to accommodate hours of operations and special events.
- Present menu to the guests, offer recommendations and descriptions for the purpose of assisting and upselling the menu
- Ensure that comped food and beverage is recorded and logged correctly.
- Assist Manager in delivering budgeted sales and profit results by executing all administrative, marketing, human resource and guest service programs as prescribed by ownership or senior management
- Effectively market and promote bowling & restaurant products and services while maintaining high staff morale and guest satisfaction, protecting company assets, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and guests
- Effectively use the AS400 system to order product and supplies as necessary.
- Conduct monthly food and beverage inventory.
- Assist servers in retrieving items from the kitchen and bar, serve when necessary
- Assist bartender as needed
- Serve and understand wine and cocktails
- Ensure station and side-work are complete prior to staff leaving
- Train and orient new employees by properly utilizing training checklists.
- Oversee the door and assist hosts/hostesses
- Greet guests and direct them to their table
- Ensure that all appropriate paperwork is complete and turned in. Ensure bowling logs are complete and submitted in a timely basis.
- Utilize the computer to block and place detailed guest restaurant reservations in the Res Pak computer system
- Effectively utilize the Time and Attendance system to run overtime reports and gather information regarding payroll hours.
- Maximize revenues through effective selling and focus on lane/table turnover during peak times. Work with the conference service department in the coordination and execution of private events
- Ensure center (especially lanes and pinsetters) are maintained at optimal standards for guest experience and retention and maintain upkeep of Play’s original quality
- Utilize the computer to place reservations in the “Guest Itinerary”

What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training with one year in a supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience .
