Expeditor, Restaurant​/Food Service

What You’ll Do:

As an Expeditor at Caramá, you are responsible for the efficient flow of service from kitchen to table. You'll manage communication between chefs and servers, check that every dish meets presentation and timing standards, and ensure guest orders are delivered correctly and promptly.

Pay: $13 - $16 / hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the pass and ensure all plates meet quality, portion, and presentation standards
• Coordinate timing between kitchen stations and front-of-house teams to maintain service flow
• Confirm ticket accuracy, including modifiers, course pacing, and special requests
• Communicate clearly with line cooks, servers, and management to resolve timing or plating issues in real time
• Maintain a clean, organized expo station throughout service
• Assist with organizing to-go or VIP orders when necessary
• Act as the final quality checkpoint before food reaches the guest
• Support a high-energy, high-volume service environment with professionalism and poise
• Uphold Wolfgang Puck’s hospitality and brand standards with every plate and every guest

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–2 years of experience as an expeditor or similar role in an upscale or fine dining kitchen
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Working knowledge of kitchen operations and ticket management
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing and walking for long periods, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and the stamina to move efficiently in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining focus and clarity under pressure.
