About Us: We are a beloved family-owned restaurant known for our warm atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service. For over 15 years, we've been a cornerstone of the community, and we are now looking for a General Manager who shares our commitment to excellence and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, and develop high-performing management and hourly teams.
- Create and maintain a positive, motivated, and accountable culture focused on hospitality and teamwork.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback; conduct regular performance reviews.
- Maintain staffing levels and schedules to balance labor costs with business demands.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings, weekly manager meetings, and regular one-on-ones.
- Ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality, consistent food quality, and efficient service.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak hours, engaging with guests and staff.
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant.
- Achieve budgeted sales, labor, and cost of goods (COGS) targets.
- Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements; identify and correct variances.
- Control controllable expenses (labor, supplies, food/beverage waste, repairs).
- Implement systems to improve productivity and profitability.
- Manage cash handling, bank deposits, and financial recordkeeping.
- Ensure all food, beverage, and service operations comply with company standards, local regulations, and health department requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, inventory, and ordering for food, beverage, and supplies.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and facilities; ensure the restaurant remains in top condition.
- Maintain compliance with all labor, safety, and alcohol laws.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Partner with corporate/marketing teams to execute local promotions and events.
- Build relationships within the local community and represent the brand positively.
- Drive initiatives to grow sales through local outreach, loyalty programs, and special events.
- Collaborate with ownership and regional leadership to set quarterly and annual goals.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvement.
- Support new menu rollouts, training initiatives, and company projects.
- Mentor assistant managers for internal promotion and succession planning.
