Position Summary

We are seeking a professional Event Line Cook to join our growing culinary team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food for upscale events, weddings, corporate functions, and private gatherings. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong culinary fundamentals, attention to detail, organizational excellence, and a commitment to executing premium dining experiences s role includes cross training and weekly responsibilities in basic baking and pastry production to support our in-house pastry program.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute hot and cold food production for catered events, banquets, weddings, corporate functions, and private dining experiences.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail through all stages of food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Execute recipes and production schedules while ensuring consistency across large-volume events.
  • Assist with buffet, station, family-style, and plated meal service for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.
  • Work proficiently across multiple culinary stations including sauté, grill, roasting, carving, banquet plating, garde manger, and finishing.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and professional culinary techniques.
  • Properly label, date, rotate, and store products following food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in all kitchen, prep, and event spaces.
  • Work closely with Sous Chefs, Executive Chefs, Event Captains, and culinary leadership to execute successful events.
  • Assist with large‑scale prep projects including sauces, proteins, vegetables, desserts, and specialty event menu items.
  • Support production of elevated baked goods, desserts, and pastry components as needed.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in catering, banquet, hotel, country club, event venue, or high‑volume restaurant operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of upscale food presentation and banquet plating techniques.
  • Experience preparing meals for large groups while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict production deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with kitchen and event staff.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shifts and event service.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain professional hygiene, grooming, and appearance standards.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Lifting may be required.
