What the job looks like

We are looking to hire baristas and shift leaders, for our locations in San Francisco. As a barista, every shift starts with tasting coffee (yes, that’s part of the job). You’ll get to know the flavors, learn the menu inside and out, and use that knowledge to guide guests toward drinks they’ll love.

From there, you’ll take and serve orders, recommend specials, and create meaningful moments with customers. Behind the bar, you’ll keep things running smoothly, support your team, and help make the café a welcoming space for everyone.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong customer service skills, enjoy interacting with diverse groups of people, be dependable, and reliable, and love coffee. You should also be able to work various shifts, including weekends.

Tasting Coffee drinks and our delicious foods

Answering customer's questions regarding the drink menu and ingredients

Educating customers on our drink menu and making recommendations based on their preferences

Upselling special items and capturing customer order details correctly

Prepare beverages following the recipes

Keep the bar area stocked and clean

Ensure brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs

Comply with health and safety regulations

Maintains a level of calm and patience when faced with stressful situations

Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

6 months or more of barista experience

Knowledge of sanitation regulations - Food Handler / Serve Safe certified preferred

Must be able to lift 25lbs

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic

Excellent customer service skills - external and internal

Excellent communication skills with both team and customers

Positive attitude and willingness to support your team

Reliable, dependable, and highly adaptable

Flexibility to work various shifts - including weekends and holidays

Passion for coffee and phenomenal service!

Compensation:

Barista I: $19.18/hr

Barista II: $19.66/hr

Tips: 9/hr or more

Total potential earnings: $28/hr+
