A Starbucks Barista is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, food, and other menu items. Responsibilities include taking customer orders, operating the register/POS system, preparing beverages according to recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area, restocking products and supplies, and following all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Baristas should be friendly, dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working as part of a team. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with opening and closing duties, cleaning equipment and work areas, and helping create a welcoming experience for all customers.
Responsibilities- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages according to recipes
- Prepare and serve food items as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Restock cups, lids, syrups, milk, food, and other supplies
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
- Clean equipment, counters, tables, and customer areas
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Monitor product levels and notify supervisors when supplies are low
- Handle customer questions and concerns in a professional manner
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Follow all company and workplace policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
