Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

Job Summary

The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas to ensure high quality products and customer service, contributing to restaurant profitability. The role includes managing all operational areas, executing company policies, ensuring compliance with laws, and maintaining ethical business practices.

• Adhere to station guidelines, including dough management, accuracy, and portioning.
• Perform assigned station duties, including product preparation and maintaining product holding times.
• Contribute to achieving company product goals.
• Commit to meeting customer needs, minimizing complaints and responding promptly.
• Follow all policies and procedures in the TM handbook (image, attendance, safety, security).
• Exemplify core values, maintain a positive attitude, and collaborate with team members.
• Ensure adequate shift coverage and provide immediate feedback and corrective action.
• Maintain product quality, customer service, and performance standards (MCE readiness, food/labor costs, cleanliness).
• Contribute to profit goals by using the FOCUS system and keeping within company guidelines.
• Execute cash management duties.
• Assist in inventory management using company systems to minimize loss.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Serv‑Safe or local/state food service certification (preferred).
• Previous restaurant shift lead experience (preferred).
• Successful and stable employment history.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Availability to work long hours (32+ hours typically), nights, weekends, emergencies.
• Ability to perform duties of all restaurant positions.
• Functional skills: planning & prioritization, effective communication, process improvement.
