Job DescriptionSoutheast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is seeking a full-time Cook to join our dynamic care team in North Easton. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals for our patients and residents.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper serving temperatures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your passion for food and commitment to excellent patient care will make you a valuable addition to our team.
Responsibilities- Follow therapeutic diets ordered by physicians
- Ensure proper serving temperature of food
- Maintain visual appeal of food
- Monitor daily nourishments and follow standardized recipes
- Ensure proper portion control
- Adhere to sanitation and storage policy and procedure
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager
- Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Knowledge of dining service procedures, related laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Ability to lead and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
- Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and work areas
- Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
