Kitchen Staff

Wage: $11–$16 per hour (based on experience)

Rock N Roll Sushi is looking for a hardworking, adaptable Kitchen Staff member to help keep our back‑of‑house running smoothly. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy being part of a tight‑knit team, and take pride in doing things the right way, you’ll fit right in with our crew.

This role is hands‑on and dynamic — you’ll support food prep, assist cooks, help maintain kitchen cleanliness, and keep operations rockin’ behind the scenes. Experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn go a long way.

• Set up and organize kitchen stations with the necessary tools and equipment.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for service.
• Wash, chop, shred, and prep ingredients as directed by management.
• Plate and garnish dishes according to RNR Sushi standards.
• Present food attractively and consistently.
• Store food correctly in cold storage and follow rotation procedures.
• Monitor inventory and restock items as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen throughout your shift.
• Assist with dishwashing and proper storage of clean items.
• Support cooks, chefs, and other team members as needed.
• Help unload deliveries and organize supplies.
• Follow all food hygiene, sanitation, and health code guidelines.
• Complete shared daily cleaning tasks.
• Report any issues or concerns to the Kitchen Manager.

• Minimum age: 16 years old.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of food safety is a plus.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑focused mindset and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
