Meals on Wheels and More, a program of the Whatcom Council on Aging, is hiring a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to help prepare, package, and serve meals for seniors on Orcas Island. It's steady, daytime work: 8:00am to 2:00pm (times may vary), Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. $21+/hr (DOE)

Assist the Lead Cook with meal prep, portioning, and cleanup. Package meals for home delivery and satellite sites. Help with inventory, stocking, and kitchen sanitation. Keep basic records like meal counts and temperatures.
What we're looking for:- High school diploma or GED
- Current WA State Food Worker Card
- 1+ years of culinary experience (high-volume or institutional a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet in a fast-paced kitchen
- A team player with a good attitude and strong customer service skills
