Shifts between 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Monday through Saturdays

The Ranch Downtown is always interested in meeting experienced, dependable people who would be a great fit for our team.

If you have previous experience as a barista, in food service, coffee shop operations, or restaurant or coffee shop management, we would love to hear from you.

Our baristas are an important part of the experience at The Ranch Downtown. This is a hands‑on position that includes customer service, beverage preparation, light food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and helping wherever needed to keep the coffee shop running smoothly.

We’re looking for people who are friendly, efficient, dependable, hardworking, and take pride in providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing espresso drinks, coffees, teas, energy drinks, lemonades, and other specialty beverages according to our recipes and standards
• Preparing and serving light breakfast and lunch items, including breakfast croissants, avocado toast, sandwiches, fruit salad, and other menu items
• Performing daily food prep and keeping ingredients stocked, fresh, labeled, and ready for service
• Following proper food handling, sanitation, and food‑safety procedures
• Greeting customers promptly and creating a friendly, welcoming experience
• Taking customer orders and accurately operating the point‑of‑sale system
• Learning our coffee, beverage, and food menus and helping customers with their selections
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well‑stocked coffee bar and food preparation area
• Restocking cups, syrups, ingredients, paper goods, and other supplies throughout the shift
• Completing opening, closing, cleaning, and daily side‑work responsibilities
• Supporting seasonal drinks, promotions, loyalty programs, and other coffee shop initiatives
• Communicating effectively with coworkers and management
• Working efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and attention to detail
• Helping maintain the welcoming atmosphere and high standards of The Ranch Downtown
• Stepping in wherever needed to support the team and provide a great customer experience

Our ideal applicants:

• Have previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, food service, retail, or hospitality experience
• Are comfortable with both beverage preparation and light food preparation
• Are friendly, outgoing, and enjoy interacting with customers
• Are dependable, punctual, and responsible
• Can work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Pay attention to details and follow recipes and procedures consistently
• Understand the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, and safe food handling
• Take initiative and can recognize what needs to be done without always being asked
• Are willing to learn, receive feedback, and continually improve
• Keep their workspace clean and organized
• Communicate well and work as part of a team
• Take pride in doing a job well

Previous barista, coffee shop, or food service experience is strongly preferred.

We are also especially interested in hearing from applicants with coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or hospitality management experience who may be interested in future leadership opportunities.

Scheduling needs will vary depending on current openings.

Applicants should understand that coffee shop positions may require early mornings, weekdays, and Saturdays. Specific hours and scheduling requirements will be discussed when an opening becomes available.
