Position SummaryAt Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, our Pastry Cooks play an important role in creating memorable culinary experiences for our guests. This position is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, pastries, desserts, and specialty items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, food safety, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry arts, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional products that enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily production for restaurants, banquets, catering events, and special functions.
- Decorate and finish desserts with attention to quality, consistency, and visual presentation.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients while maintaining recipe accuracy and portion control.
- Ensure all products meet Hyatt standards for taste, freshness, and appearance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Properly store, label, and rotate products using FIFO procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to culinary leadership.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing pastry ingredients and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to support resort dining outlets and banquet operations.
- Follow all company policies, food handling procedures, and health and safety standards.

- Previous pastry, bakery, or culinary experience required.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, dessert preparation, and food safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and production schedules with accuracy and consistency.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Culinary or pastry education is preferred.
