About the Role:

We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to be second-in-command in our kitchen, supporting our Head Chef in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our residents at Vermont Views Care Community.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and managing daily operations.
  • Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences.
  • Help maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance.
  • Step up and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Contribute to creating a dining experience that brings joy to our residents.

What You'll Need:

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Chef, with some supervisory or leadership exposure.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • A passion for food and a genuine desire to make a difference in aged care.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to complete:
    • Pre-employment medical
    • Police check
    • NDIS Worker Screening Check
