**** THE ROLE
** The Bartender is responsible for providing friendly and professional service to members and guests by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. The Bartender will maintain a clean and stocked bar or beverage cart, handle payments, and follow all company and alcohol service policies.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Set up and break down the assigned bar or beverage cart.
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.
* Provide friendly and courteous service to members and guests.
* Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately.
* Operate the point-of-sale system and complete required paperwork.
* Maintain proper inventory and restock supplies as needed.
* Keep the bar or beverage cart clean, organized, and properly stocked.
* Follow all health, sanitation, and alcohol service requirements.
* Check identification and serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with company policy.
* Assist the Barback with stocking and other duties as needed.
* Maintain a positive and professional relationship with members, guests, and coworkers.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

** EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
*** High School degree/GED or equivalent is required.
* At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
* Previous bartending experience preferred.

* SKILLS AND ABILITIES

*** Strong customer service and people skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic knowledge of bar operations and beverage service.
* Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
* Basic knowledge of cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
* Ability to maintain accurate cash and sales transactions.
* Ability to keep work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
* Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and customer needs.
* Ability to follow company policies, health requirements, and alcohol service guidelines.
