Role Description The Bartender is a part-time, on-site role based at The Regal Beagle Bar & Bites in Ghent, KY. This role is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking guest orders, and recommending drink and food pairings. Daily tasks include setting up and breaking down the bar, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring proper handling of bar equipment.
The Bartender will process payments accurately, manage tabs, and follow all responsible service and safety guidelines. This position also focuses on creating a friendly atmosphere by engaging with guests, answering questions, and supporting the front-of-house team as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of food & beverage offerings, including basic mixology, drink recipes, and pairing suggestions.
- Proficiency in bartending tasks, such as pouring, mixing, garnishing drinks, and operating bar tools safely.
- Accurate cash handling skills, including managing tabs, processing card payments, and balancing the register.
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
