Salary Range: $16.00 To $18.00 Hourly

Villagio Hospitality Group is growing! We’re seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cooks to join the opening culinary team at the brand-new Tempo by Hilton. You’ll support both Moonsong Café, our stylish all-day café, and Repeal Speakeasy, a Prohibition-inspired cocktail lounge serving refined small plates and late-night fare.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Wash, peel, chop, measure, and portion ingredients for daily prep and service
• Assist with basic cooking tasks such as parboiling, reducing sauces, and prepping side dishes
• Follow recipes and prep lists accurately and efficiently
• Maintain food safety standards, proper storage practices, and labeling using FIFO procedures
• Keep prep area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift
• Alert chefs or supervisors of low inventory levels and assist with restocking

Requirements:

• Ability to follow recipes and verbal instructions precisely
• Good organizational skills and time management
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team-player attitude and willingness to take direction from multiple chefs

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; culinary coursework preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in a prep cook or kitchen support role is preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift in a busy kitchen environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely
