** Responsibilities
* ** Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
* Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
* Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
* Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
* Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
* Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
** Requirements
* ** High school diploma/GED required
* 2+ years' experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry
* Able to read and follow standardized recipes
* Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
* Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
* Serve Safe Certification preferred
** Skills
* ** Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours
* Maintain accurate food inventories
* Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
* Rotate stock items as per established procedures
* Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
* Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
