UPMC Cole is hiring a casual Food Service Attendant to work between the hours of 3:45pm to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday, every other weekend and holiday. This position is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction with food service utilizing customer service skills. Delivers and serves nutritionally appropriate and attractive meals in a timely manner. Practices appropriate food handling techniques and food safety procedures in all aspects of job.

UPMC Cole is seeking a Casual Food Service Attendant to help provide excellent dining experiences for our patients, visitors, and staff. If you enjoy working with people, preparing food, and delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you!
Schedule- Shifts will be scheduled between 3:45pm and 7:00pm Monday - Friday.
- Includes every other weekend and holiday.
- Prepare and assemble meals according to menus, diet orders, and customer needs.
- Serve patients, guests, and residents in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Set up serving areas and ensure supplies and equipment are ready for meal service.
- Stock food and supplies as needed.
- Assist with dining room duties, including bussing and sanitizing tables.
- Deliver meals and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow infection prevention, hand hygiene, and food safety procedures.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Provides exceptional customer service.
- Previous food preparation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities- Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
- Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
- Communicates customer complaints and concerns effectively with other health care team members.
- Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
- Serves patient meal tray using the designated department script, to include proper patient identification.
- Distributes and collects menus from patients; obtains selected menus from patients according to departmental procedures.
- Displays customer service skills when responding to meal service requests, resulting in a satisfied customer.
- Serves meals within established time frames, adhering to departmental standards for appearance, food quality, and temperature control.
