Adams Supervisors are expected to support management and department functions to provide friendly service to our valuable customers, ensuring that each experience reflects the commitment to providing quality products that Adams is known for. For the Kitchen Supervisor, this means assisting the department manager in overseeing the operations and workflow of the Kitchen with varying responsibilities to ensure that customers always have a superior experience.

• Deliver outstanding customer service by being friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to customer needs.
• Lead and support team members by assigning tasks, training staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Maintain high product quality by rotating stock, preparing food to recipe standards, and overseeing freshness in all food areas.
• Perform opening and closing duties including equipment setup, food preparation, and cleanup.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of perishable and non-perishable items, and communicate restocking needs to senior chefs.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards across all kitchen and service areas, including dishwashing and case cleaning.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and consistently lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, and demonstrate strong product knowledge to make helpful recommendations.
• Oversee daily operations of the Kitchen, delegating tasks to associates to support smooth workflows and excellent customer service
• Monitor inventory levels and place Kitchen orders with vendors to maintain proper stock
• Train and mentor new Kitchen associates by providing hands-on guidance, demonstrating proper techniques, sharing company policies, and fostering their professional growth to help them excel in their roles
• If assigned, participate in job interviews and/or disciplinary discussions
• Contribute and assist with the responsibilities of the Kitchen associates and leads

• Kitchen professional experience
• Knowledge of the inter-workings of the Kitchen
• Able to bring a friendly and helpful environment to all customers
• Ability demonstrate and set the example of Adams’ culture and values
• Ability to operate and train others on Adams’ point of sale systems
• Work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
• Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee department operations
• Ability to communicate and exchange information so others will understand
• Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods combined with frequent movement in a fast-paced environment
• Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
