McKeever Price Chopper is looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant Deli Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our deli department. If you’re passionate about food, customer service, and team development, this role offers a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

Position Overview:

As Assistant Deli Manager, you will work closely with the Deli Manager to lead deli associates, ensure high food quality, and maintain cleanliness and food safety standards. You’ll play a key role in customer satisfaction by delivering fresh, delicious food with friendly service.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in supervising deli staff and ensuring efficient daily operations
Prepare and serve hot and cold deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and rotisserie items
Monitor product rotation, inventory levels, and stock ordering
Ensure all deli areas meet company food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards
Train and coach deli associates on food prep, equipment use, and customer service
Assist in merchandising deli displays and executing promotions
Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
Fill in for the Deli Manager during absences or peak times

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old
Previous experience in food service, deli, or kitchen environment preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Physical Requirements:

Stand for long periods (4-8 hours per shift)
Lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks (cutting, lifting, reaching)
Work in warm and cold environments (kitchen and cooler)
Comfortable with food prep equipment (slicers, ovens, scales)
