# Starbucks Assistant Store Manager Starbucks Cheshire - St Louis, MO 63117## Overview Salary Range $21.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time## Description POSITION SUMMARY  Daily supervision and direction of Starbucks service staff.  Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards for outlets.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Ensure that food and beverage items are being served in a professional and timely manner by communicating with the Baristas.  Handle guest complaints.
Ensure availability of manpower, supplies, and equipment to ensure positive guest experience.  Assist in hiring, scheduling, supervision and control of Baristas.  Attend pre-meal meetings and conduct ongoing training of associates to ensure that associates continue to improve their performance.
Assist in the completion of reports on production and necessary requisitions. Assist in regulation of distribution of necessary supplies.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS  In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.  Provide direct service to guests as needed, including, but not limited to, bussing tables and general clerical/cashier duties.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.  Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.  Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including but not limited to assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.## Qualifications QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  High school or equivalent education required. Minimum two years food and beverage service background required.

GROOMING  All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available).FLSA Designation nonexempt OTHER  Upon employment all associates are required to comply with the standards, rules and regulations which may be established by the Company and updated from time to time. Associates who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

The Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Due to the cyclical nature  of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the property. Associates may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
