* JOB SUMMARY:

** The Concession Cook is responsible for preparing all food items for IMAX and Discovery Pyramid adhering to all Moody Gardens Regulations as well as Local Food Regulations.
** POSITION AUTHORITY:
** The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.
** POSITION GUIDELINES:
** Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.  The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative, and give high priority to accuracy and details in the performance of job responsibilities.## Qualifications

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*** Must maintain a Guest focus while performing duties
* Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of guest experience
* Follows Chefs assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation
* Maintains proper inventory levels of all foods in holding bins, monitoring waste at all times
* Operation and set up of equipment
* Prepare food items by complying with portions size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures
* Keep all foods refrigerated when not being uses
* Ensure that proper food temperatures are maintained
* Responsible for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas
* Help remove all trash from concession areas
* Cooking all foods to proper temperature and ensuring consistency of product
* Adheres to company cost control guidelines by not over or under portioning
* Receives verbal instructions as to food required by guests
* Keeps work area clean and sufficiently stocked
* Clean and sanitize all work areas and food preparation equipment
* Adhere to company guidelines for appearance and uniform standards
* Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
** EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
*** No prior experience required
* Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
*
* REQUIRED SKILLS:

*** Must be reliable and responsible
* Ability to exhibit maturity in the workplace and have a cooperative attitude
*
* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

*** Ability to perform tasks that include reaching, bending, and stooping
* Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
* Ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks up to 60 pounds many times per day
